Company ProfileJaxon Filtration, Inc., originally was Jackson Manufacturing established in
1984 by Lamar Jackson. The company was purchased in 1997 by an investment
group, which included James Kingston, company President, who runs the day-to-day
operations. Mr. Kingston’s background is in manufacturing and product
development. Jonathan McCollough was hired in February 1998 to head up the
Engineering and Sales Department. Mr. McCollough’s background includes
chemical engineering training from Young Harris College and Columbus State
University and 7 years sales
and engineering experience with a major filtration system and element
manufacturing company. In February 2000, the company moved to a 14,000
square foot facility in Franklin Industrial Park. Jaxon Filtration has continually provided quality filter elements at a competitive price. By developing new products and improving existing products, Jaxon has kept the needs of their customers in the forefront. Jaxon’s products can be found in the following industries: Power Generation Plants, Petroleum Pipelines, Airport Fuel Storage, Fuel Farms, Computer Chip Manufacturers, Steel Mills, Pulp and Paper Mills, Department of Defense, and many other manufacturing industries where liquid filtration is needed to control various processes. Common medias used for these industries include, but are not limited to: Fuller's Earth Clay, Activated Alumina, Activated Carbon, Pleated Paper, Bentonite, and Selexsorb. Jaxon also provides worldwide representation for the Petroleum Products of an Activated Clay mine located in South Georgia. Jaxon Filtration has strived to remain focused in the Petrochemical Industries; however, due to customer request, air and water filtration products have recently been introduced. Jaxon also acquired a manufacturer of Spin-on Fuel filters for water absorption. Through continuous product evaluation and improvement and a consortium of industry veterans, Jaxon will provide quality filtration products for years to come. Jaxon stands by their motto: “Filters for Today’s Technology.”
